VETERINARIANS

Lance Kidder, DVM

Lance, a Western Washington native, graduated from Washington State University. Growing up with 4-H and livestock on a small farm, his early experiences with veterinarians made him excited to join such a caring and unique profession. During school, he treasured his role helping fellow students achieve professional success as a national officer with the Veterinary Business Management Association. With keen interest in clinical communication, animal behavior, and preventive medicine and dentistry, Lance is pleased to work at a practice that excels at these pursuits. Outside of work, Lance enjoys seeing the open spaces of the basin and range country. Thanks for reading, and please don’t hesitate to reach out to connect.

Marissa, Veterinary Technician in Training

Marissa was born and raised here in Northern Nevada and she couldn’t see herself living anywhere else. She set out in the veterinary field in 2011 and she couldn’t be happier with her choice. In her free time she enjoys hiking with her Llewellin Setter, Marley, riding horses, playing slow pitch softball rather competitively and country line/swing dancing. When she is not out and about she is very family oriented and loves to read, cuddled up with Marley and her cat, Bandit.

HOSPITAL FELINE

Avi

Avi, or Avimark, came to us as a tiny kitten in mid-2019. She was found by a good samaritan in a bag on the side of the highway (certainly no place for a kitten!) After a bath and a few hot meals, she has become a most excellent hospital cat. When you come in for a visit, you may have the pleasure of seeing her on the reception desk or hanging out with the team on the treatment floor. Avi enjoys catnip, warm beds, attention, and making cat noises that we can only guess at their meaning.
