Jacob Fisk, DVM

Dr. Jacob Fisk started life in California, but relocated to Reno after elementary school. Having his formative years spent in the Northern Nevada desert, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from UNR, and went to the north to pursue his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University. He has now returned to Nevada to practice medicine in Carson City. With a passion for animals with fur, feathers, and scales, he brings with him a determination to better himself and his patients. When not delivering medicine unto the patients who enter the clinic doors, he can be occasionally spotted hiking, biking, and rock climbing, but is often sequestered indoors in the pursuit of escapist fiction.

Avi, or Avimark came to us as a tiny kitten in mid-2019. She was found by a good samaritan in a bag on the side of the highway (certainly no place for a kitten!) After a bath and a few hot meals, she has become a most excellent hospital cat. When you come in for a visit, you may have the pleasure of seeing her on the reception desk or hanging out with the team on the treatment floor. Avi enjoys catnip, warm beds, attention, and making cat noises that we can only guess at their meaning.
